We planted these large beds from scratch having first removed decades of old growth and weeds with a digger and used ‘succession planting’ (inspired by Fergus Garret at Great Dixter and his invaluable teaching) to create a dynamic tapestry of textures and colours that change month to month, from spring through summer and into autumn.
